Facebook is
a social media web application, is a
part of million student lives. Student use facebook for communication with
friends and playing games. There are many tools
available for learning.Facebook seems to be one of the most effective
tools because students generally respond to discussions quickly and are
comfortable enough in the “space” to share their information and
opinions. By using facebook in learning the role of students can therefore
shift from only receiving knowledge to both searching and sharing their
knowledge. Moreover,interactions with teachers can become more instant since
teachers and students can respond via facebook.To get the benefits frim
facebook instesd of being against the usuage of
facebook,teachers can creatively them as tools for supporting students
continous learning activities. There are wide number potential benefits :
creating a sense of community and collaboration, enhancing communication
between instructors and instructors and
students, developing computer literacy and language skills, and
incorporating current students culture
into the learning environment.In addition facebook is particularly well suited
for sharing and discussion of current events in the news.

Conclusions
Facebook for teaching and learning indicates a high level
of interactions and learning activities .The
students effectively used the FB tools to interact and communicate with each
other and with the lecturer using different tools in facebook such as live chat
text box, voice and vedio call etc. Overall the students to students and student to lecturers interaction going on
high level.By using their FB group the students
gets more freedom and spaces for engagement which is result of their
higher level of learning activities.

DeleteNice one mam. Using facebook opens a great deal of opportunities in teaching learning but, according to my personal experience it has brought more of negative affective impact on my students. If, you could bring out of adverse effect and their remedies then it would be great mam.

ReplyDeleteGood Information. Facebook is easy access for everyone. In my opinion, one of the way to stop distraction can be unfollowing unwanted pages and following only essentials learning items.
